You can apply for Kuwait Residency Renewal online through the General Directorate of Residency and Ministry of Interior website.
Your Kuwait Residency Renewal will only require two documents, that is your passport copy, work permit, and your Civil ID. Afterwards, you can pay the service fee to get your residency renewed in Kuwait.

- Visit the Kuwait MOI website at moi.gov.kw.
- Click on the “E-services” TAB and choose “Residency.”
- Click on the “Residency Permit Renewal” button.
- Enter your Civil ID number and required documents including your passport and phone number.
- Follow the instructions to complete your residency renewal application online.
- Choose the residency duration from one year to a five-year period.
- Pay the service fee as per your duration for the residency permit.
- Enter the verification code and click “Submit” to complete the process.
With your residency permit renewal, you will also need to settle your traffic fines and violations, and without it, your residency renewal will be delayed.

Conditions for Kuwait Residency Permit Renewal

- Private-sector employees and their wives pay 100KD per person for the first year, and 200KD per person for any additional children.
- Public sector employees pay 10KD for their wives and two kids for the first year, and 100 KD per person for any additional children.
- The renewal fee for wives and kids is 10KD per person.
- The sponsor’s parents and in-laws pay 200KD each.

You can check your Kuwait Residency Renewal Status before and after applying for the renewal of your Kuwait residency permit.
- Go to the MoI official web portal.
- Click on the “Public Query Residency Renewal Validity” tab.
- Enter your “Civil ID Number” and select your “Nationality.”
- Enter the verification code and click “Submit.”
- You will see your residency renewal status.
The results will show your Kuwait Residency Permit Validity to ensure your iqama renewal process goes successfully.
