Sahel App and Kuwait Mobile ID Guide
Sahel is Kuwait’s unified government app — one application for e-services from many government agencies, including PACI — and Kuwait Mobile ID is the digital version of your Civil ID on your phone. Together they now carry most day-to-day Civil ID tasks. This guide covers what the official listings actually confirm about both apps — and, honestly, what they do not publish yet.
What Sahel is
Sahel (developer: The Public Authority for Civil Information, government badge, 1M+ downloads, updated 18 February 2026, version 1.8.8) is described on its official store listing as the unified government application for e-services from various government agencies. A citizen or resident can perform services and transactions through it, and it carries notifications and announcements from all agencies, with access to all government services in one place.
What Sahel does (listed functions)
The store listing names five functions:
- Data — the status of your relationship with agencies through official documents, including status and expiry dates.
- Services — apply for agency services.
- Notifications — alerts and reminders on service status.
- Appointments — book through the META central platform.
- Announcements — a single window for agency news and services.
Sahel’s own landing page (sahel.paci.gov.kw) loads only as a logo page with Play Store and App Store badges — it lists no services. So the five functions above are what the official listing confirms, and nothing more specific is claimed here.
Kuwait Mobile ID: what it is for
Kuwait Mobile ID (developer: PACI, 5M+ downloads, updated 5 June 2026, version 2.2.1) is the digital ID on your phone. Its listing states three uses: a portable mobile Civil ID; authentication to government and non-government eServices; and digital signature of documents and transactions. The listing’s entry controls are “GET STARTED”, “Verify a Mobile ID”, “Login” and “Enter PIN”.
What this guide cannot show you yet
Two things readers usually want are deliberately absent here, because the official pages do not publish them:
- PACI service and menu names inside Sahel are not found on the Play Store description or the Sahel landing page. This guide therefore gives no in-app menu path — use the app’s Services section and follow its on-screen steps rather than a guessed path.
- Step-by-step Mobile ID setup is not found on the Play listing, which states purposes only. No setup steps are invented here; start from the app’s own entry controls and on-screen instructions.
A full official setup guide for either app was not found on public official pages during checking. When one is published, this guide should be updated from it — not from app-review blogs or social posts, which are not official pages.
