Kuwait eVisa Online
The Kuwait eVisa is Kuwait’s online visa application on the MOI portal — you apply before flying, upload your documents, pay online, and track the result. It covers tourist, family, business and government visits, but the stay limits and the fee depend on the visa type and your nationality, so check your type’s rules before you apply.
Visa types and stay limits
The portal offers four visa types: Tourist Visa, Family Visa, Business Visa and Government Visa.
Tourist, Family Visit and Government visas share identical limits: your passport must be valid for at least 6 months; the entry permit is valid for 30 days from issuance; your stay must not exceed 90 days from entry; entry is single; working is not allowed; and you must leave on expiry.
The Business Visa differs on stay only: passport validity at least 6 months; entry permit validity 30 days; stay up to 30 days from entry; single entry; the same working prohibition.
Documents you need
The general FAQ lists: a valid passport (at least 6 months); a recent passport-sized photo; a confirmed round-trip ticket; and a hotel booking or proof of accommodation. More documents may be required depending on visa type.
Apply in 4 steps
- Create an account on the portal.
- Complete your profile.
- Submit your application, uploading your documents and paying the fee online.
- Track real-time updates on your application.
Applications are reviewed and processed by the portal team, and updates come by email and mobile.
Processing time and updates
Processing time varies by visa type and nationality. Tourist visas typically take 1–2 business days. The portal sends updates by email and mobile, and you can track real-time updates on your application.
Fees: what is (and isn’t) stated
The fee amount is not stated publicly on the portal. The portal states that fees vary by type and nationality and are displayed when you complete the online application form — so this guide gives no fee figure, and any fee figure you read elsewhere is not confirmed here. Payment is by credit card and other secure online options. The refund FAQ states that visa fees are non-refundable if your application is accepted.
Visa on arrival countries
The portal’s FAQ separately confirms a visa-on-arrival list: Australia, Portugal, Czech Republic, Denmark, Sweden, Vatican City, Hungary, United Kingdom, Norway, Austria, United States, Japan, Greece, Spain, Estonia, Italy, Germany, Andorra, Ukraine, Ireland, Iceland, Brunei, Belgium, Bulgaria, Bhutan, Poland, Turkey, Georgia, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Singapore, Switzerland, France, Finland, Cyprus, Croatia, Cambodia, Canada, South Korea, Latvia, Laos, Luxembourg, Lithuania, Liechtenstein, Malta, Malaysia, Monaco, New Zealand, Netherlands, Hong Kong. If your nationality is on this list, the on-arrival route — not the eVisa — may be the one that applies to you; the portal’s single/multiple visit toggles and nationality control were not tested, and no eligibility country list for the eVisa itself was captured.
Extending your stay
Extensions are subject to Kuwait immigration regulations; the FAQ advises checking with local authorities. No extension fee or extension period is stated on the pages checked, so none is given here.
