UAE Pass Registration Guide

UAE Pass is the UAE’s national digital identity for citizens, residents and visitors — the single login that opens government services online, lets you sign and verify documents digitally, and lets you request and share digital official documents. Almost every UAE guide on this site tells you to “sign in with UAE Pass”; this is the guide that shows you how to get one.

One login for both routes

UAE Pass is the sign-in method for both ICP services (outside Dubai) and GDRFA Dubai services. Register once, and the same account opens services on either route.

Register in 3 steps

The official UAE Pass site lists sign-up in three steps:

  1. Download the official UAE PASS app.
  2. Register using your Emirates ID, GCC ID, or passport.
  3. Verify via Face Verification, or at the nearest kiosk.

Face verification or kiosk

A basic account can be verified through the app’s face verification. For full privileges, the FAQ recommends the nearest kiosk: visit with your Emirates ID and follow the on-screen steps. An existing verified SmartPass or DubaiID account can also be upgraded to UAE Pass.

If you do not have an Emirates ID

Without an Emirates ID, or if you live overseas, you can hold a Basic account with limited services. Verified accounts are only for Emirates ID holders — so visitors registering on a passport should expect limited access until they hold an Emirates ID.

What you can do with it

With UAE Pass you can access online government services, sign and verify documents digitally, and request and share digital official documents. The u.ae page adds a digital vault, digital signing, a single login across services, and profile and address updates — with face recognition to register and a verified account created in less than 5 minutes.

What it costs

The official pages checked — the UAE Pass home page, its FAQ, and the u.ae page — do not state a price. This guide therefore does not call UAE Pass free; no cost figure is given because no official figure was found.

Help and support

UAE Pass support is listed as 600 56 1111 and support@uaepass.ae; the u.ae page lists the help desk as 600 561 111. Both numbers are given as listed on their respective official pages.
