How to Register Mobile Number with Qatar ID

You can easily register mobile number with Qatar ID online using the Metrash2 mobile app. This app, provided by the Hukoomi, Qatar Ministry of Interior, is designed for residents and citizens to conveniently access Ministry of Interior (MoI) services, including linking mobile numbers with QID.

If your mobile number is not yet registered for QID, we can guide you through the process of using Metrash2 to register your mobile number with Qatar ID. This process is applicable even when you’re applying for a new Qatar ID or renewing your existing one.

Register Mobile Number with Qatar ID

Here are the steps to register your mobile number with your Qatar ID using the Metrash2 app.

1. Download the Metrash2 app from your mobile phone’s app store (available for Android and iPhone).
2. Open the Metrash2 app and choose your preferred language, either Arabic or English.
3. You’ll arrive at the Welcome to Metrash2 services screen, where you’ll need to provide the required data for registration.
   • Enter your Qatar ID Number.
   • Enter your QID Expiry Date.
4. Press the “Next” button to process your data for confirmation.
5. A pop-up will appear, asking if you’re sure you want to register your mobile number with your QID. Select ‘YES’ as the option.
6. Metrash2 will generate an automated text message to send to 92992 in the following format.
   • Activate: M2R<QID><ID ExpiryDate>
7. Simply press the “Send” button and wait to receive two activation codes in two separate SMS messages (Part 1 and Part 2).
8. With SMS, Metrash2 will detect your mobile number automatically. Make sure to send the text from the phone number you want to register with Qatar ID.
9. Enter the Part 1 activation code you received, followed by the Part 2 activation code in the provided boxes.
10. Create a PIN that you will use to log in to Metrash2 to complete the activation process.
11. Reconfirm your numeric PIN and click on the ‘Submit’ button.
12. You will receive a confirmation text message, that your mobile number is successfully registered with your QID.

With these steps, you will unlock the convenience of accessing various MoI services using your registered mobile number with Qatar ID.

After registering your number, you can perform a Qatar ID check online to receive your status updates.

Required Documents to Register Mobile Number with QID

You will need only two documents to register your mobile number with Qatar ID (QID).

1. A valid Qatar ID card
2. A valid mobile number registered in your name

If you happen to make any mistakes or enter the wrong number, you have the option to check Qatar ID cancelled online for confirmation on any incorrect details.
